Over 400 ecologization actions to be done in next two days in Cleaning Romania Campaign

The National Campaign "Cleaning Romania!", the first initiative of this kind that involves central and local authorities, associations in the domain, the Associations of Cities, Towns, Communes, devolved institutions and civil society, will take place throughout April, announced the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (MMAP), in a press release sent, on Thursday, to AGERPRES.

"We have started this ample campaign for ecologization at the national level because the large quantities of illegally abandoned waste throughout the country forces us to take attitude. We have a moral responsibility for what we leave as legacy for future generations. We want April, which is the period of the Easter Holidays, to be a period where we focus not only on cleansing our souls, but also ecologizing and cleaning localities, the space we live in," said the Environment Minister, Barna Tanczos, Agerpres.ro informs.

The institutions in the coordination or subordination of MMAP are the first to respond to the slogan "We want a country without abandoned waste!" thus on Thursday and Friday, over 400 ecologization activities at the level of the entire country are to take place.

According to the quoted source, the prefectures have finalized sessions to constitute working teams at the county level, composed of representatives of all devolved institutions of the MMAP, the County Councils, the County School Inspectorate, the Intercommunity Development Agency, with the direct support of the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Throughout the Cleaning Romania Campaign, activities to ecologize forests, waters, collect tires, electrical and electronic waste, as well as ecologization of public areas in cities and communes will take place.
