PM Dancila: 'Austrian Chancellor's visit tomorrow; bilateral relations and EU Council Presidency, discussion topics'

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila announced that Friday Austria's Chancellor will be paying a visit to Bucharest, the discussions going to be aimed at both the bilateral relations and as efficient as possible coordination of topics on the European agenda in the context of the effective transfer between the Austria and Romania of the Presidency of the EU Council.
"As Mr. President has pointed out as well, we'll be receiving tomorrow the official visit of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Austria, in the context of Romania taking over the Presidency of the EU Council. It is a good opportunity both to consolidate the Romanian-Austrian political dialogue and to capitalise on the entire potential of the bilateral economic and trade relations. Certainly, we'll have talks about ensuring as best and efficient as possible coordination of the topics on the European agenda in respect to the smooth and effective transfer between the two rotating presidencies of the Council of the European Union," Dancila said, during the government meeting, also attended by President Klaus Iohannis.
The Prime Minister pointed out that topics on the European agenda will be tackled, with a special focus on cohesion. "Cohesion is also the motto of the Presidency of the Council of EU during Romania's mandate," Dancila said.
According to her, convergence, digitalisation, connectivity, innovation, keeping a safe Europe will also be discussed.
"Certainly, I also want to bring to the forefront things related to a good cooperation in terms of economy between Romania's Government and the Government of Austria," Prime Minister Dancila added.
