Constanta: Four workers seriously burned following explosion at Petromidia Refinery

A grave explosion occurred on Monday afternoon at the Petromidia Refinery, resulting in the serious injury of at least four employees. According to the spokesperson of the Constanta County Ambulance Service, Claudia Tatarici, a red code for intervention was activated in Constanta County and presently there is information regarding four cases of serious burns, the workers already being transported by ambulances to hospitals.
In his turn, the spokesperson for the Emergency Situations Inspectorate Dobrogea, Anca Chirita, has stated that several firefighting crews arrived at the scene. The union leader of the Petromidia Refinery Platform, Petre Tancau, mentioned, for Agerpres, that the fire was generated by a DDV hydraulic pump in a pre-refinement installation.
