Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan expressed his satisfaction, on Saturday, that his first foreign visit, as head of the Bucharest Executive, is to the Republic of Moldova, Agerpres reports.

He declared, on the stage of the "National Treasure" Festival in the village of Horeşti - Ialoveni district, where he was present together with his Moldovan counterpart, Dorin Recean, that his first visit as prime minister is made "as a sign of respect for the Republic of Moldova, as a sign of attachment to the Bessarabian Romanians".

"It is an honor for me to be in Moldova today. It is good that the first visit of the Romanian Prime Minister is to Moldova. I am here as a sign of respect for Moldova, as a sign of attachment to the Bessarabian Romanians. Thank you for preserving your traditions. Be dignified! May God protect Romania and the Republic of Moldova," Ilie Bolojan said.

In turn, the Moldovan Prime Minister, Dorin Recean, thanked for the support that Romania grants to the Republic of Moldova, pointing out that the two states have the obligation to be "even more united".

"I am also particularly happy and excited to have the Prime Minister of Romania here. I want to thank these inhabitants of Hora?ti for preserving the spirit of our nation, for taking care of our common traditions and for passing them on to these wonderful children. We, as a united nation, can move forward and create our European future here, at home. I thank Bucharest for always being by our side and for the fact that we, together, go through difficult moments and at the same time know how to share the joy of our successes. From now on, we have the obligation to be even more united, to be more determined to move forward," Recean said.

The two prime ministers visited the stands with traditional Moldovan products at the "National Treasure" Festival. The Moldovan prime minister bought two clay pots from a ceramics stand, one for himself and the other for Ilie Bolojan.
